She has held positions within her Club beginning with 2-year Director; Third, Second and First Vice Presidents; and served as Club President for 4 years. She was a Zone Chairperson (2 years) and was District Chairperson for Lions Quest (2 years). At State level, she was elected for 2 consecutive 3-year terms from District 3-K for the Dr. Eugene Briggs Scholarship board and has served as Secretary, Vice President and President. She attended 5 USA/Canada Leadership Forums and an International Convention. She completed the Lions Clubs International Emerging Lions Institute in 2004. She was District 3-K’s Lion of the Year in 2002–2003 and has received several Presidents’ citations. She loves Lionism and is proud to part of the Pride. Lion Sally has been an active Girl Scouts volunteer for 10 years and has helped bring girls from Daisy Scouts to Senior Scouts and has enjoyed the privilege of doing so. She has also been active with the Talihina Chamber of Commerce and the Talihina Main Street program. Together with Leo, her husband of 35 years, they have raised 4 children. They also have 11 grandchildren and soon to be 4 great grandchildren. When she and her husband are not busy with their many volunteer activities they enjoy staying home with their grandchildren and doing some traveling.
